Parlez-Vous Francais?

Many people today feel strongly about travel and cultural diversity. Many of us dream to experience the luxury of first-hand experience of a different culture. France in particular is one of the most lively places in the world. Having said that, some of our very own students have had the chance to intern there and some others who have gone for vacation. To celebrate the Francophonie Month, Enderun paid tribute to the French language on the 5th to 6th of March by showcasing a poster and photo exhibit, a French movie called Amelie and French Kiss, and some French pastries like the popular croissants.

For the culminating event, the French Language students hosted an afternoon cocktail at the Enderun Culinary Center. Representatives from the Embassy of France in the Philippines were present, namely Elena Edrenkina, attachee de cooperation pour le francais and Anais Bouquelloen, ministere des affaires etrangeres et europeennes. Various faculty and professors also attended the event: Javier Infante, school president, Jack Tuason, chairman of the advisory board, Udo Goebel and Ruth von Siebenthal Hung. The colleges’ Language Department aims to hold a bigger event next year.

She enjoys writing as it helps her take time to think about more meaningful things that can be easily overlooked and put on paper. To her, it is pretty awesome looking back at something she has written, " After putting it away for a couple of months or so.. then I read it again, I feel good that this is actually something I wrote."
