Ian Kenneth Bautista was awarded as this year’s Salutatorian while Ana Maria Isabel “Izzy” Matias was this year’s valedictorian. In her speech, Izzy made a humorous comment about being wet as a freshman, and being wet as a graduate, pertaining of course to the freshman amazing race and the graduation barbecue where water balloons and the infamous fountain dunking seem to be the unofficial tradition of both annual events.

The college also welcomed Gawad Kalinga Founder and Chairman, Mr. Antonio Meloto who gave the commencement address. Mr. Meloto, an Economics graduate from the Ateneo de Manila University has extensive experience working for multinational companies locally and abroad. But it is his love for the country which led him back in establishing a means to help the less privileged by creating an organization which seeks to help less fortunate people help themselves. Mr. Meloto says now is a great time to be a Filipino, it is a time when the Philippines is set to be on the road to being one of the most successful economies in Asia, he encouraged the graduates to make a change and to take advantage of the underused resources the country has to offer. A similar message was also delivered by Enderun President, Dr. Edgardo Rodriguez during his first final charge to students. Dr. Rodriguez advises the graduates to “be different to make a difference”.
