Kyle was awarded MVP of the Friars basketball team and led the volleyball team to a first-place finish where he was awarded Player of the Game. A double threat player!

Starting this August, the young athlete will take up a Bachelor’s Degree in International Hospitality Management specializing in Hotel Administration under a full scholarship.

“Kyle is a fearless competitor who brings toughness to the court. He is aggressive on the open court and his attitude fits our culture. His jump shot and decision-making in half court execution will be the main focus for his development in our program. I am confident that he will be a significant team player and help us fulfill our vision,” shares Coach Pipo.

Kyle is the youngest of three boys in his family. Sports opened the doors for him, facilitating his transfer to Father Duenas High School after his sophomore year. This decision was based on the school’s being a college prep and regularly gaining success for acceptance in major colleges in the U.S.

Father Duenas Friars’ Coach E.J. Calvo also adds, “I spoke to Kyle a lot about his desire to work in the tourism or hospitality industry someday, but he said that he was looking for more opportunities than was available to his brothers. Enderun will be a perfect place for him to grow and eventually reach his career goals, whether he returns to Guam’s thriving tourism industry or works abroad. He has the personality, drive, and foundation to be successful at Enderun and in his future career.”

Enderun Colleges is happy to welcome Kyle Gaitan to its growing family of athletes and prospective business professionals!
