“In the tech industry, we have people who are on the I.T. side and those who are on the business side but, technology management is the missing link,” Joey Gurango, founder and CEO of Gurango Software, said during his Success Series lecture at Enderun.

Mr. Gurango shared that the demand for technology management graduates is global, even more so in the Philippines because start-up businesses are now moving to the country because of its’ booming economy.

“Even though technology management is a very in-demand field of study, I am not seeing enough graduates coming to the industry,” Mr. Gurango shared. He added that he supports schools with programs specializing in technology management because of it is not enough that those who want to venture in the tech industry are knowledgeable on the I.T. side of things, they should also know how to run a business.

Enderun Colleges has an advantage for being the first school to offer a Bachelor of Science in Information Systems, with specialization in Technology Management, an undergraduate degree that focuses on information systems and business.

Mr. Gurango worked for the two most popular software companies in the world- Apple, Inc.  as a Technical Support Engineer and Microsoft as a Software Development Engineer.
