What to Expect At The First Ever E-Titans Week
Get your game faces on, Titans! With in-person sports events on hold due to the Coronavirus pandemic, Student Life, in partnership with ESports–a registered student organization for gaming, has successfully launched Enderun Colleges’ first-ever “E-Titans Week”, a four-day virtual gaming tournament where students compete in various online games. This event was created to uplift the student body and for them to enjoy friendly virtual competitions. Preliminary rounds were held in the second week of November, and are scheduled to conclude with the finals round from December 1st to 4th.
In previous years, Enderun Colleges would hold Titan’s Week on campus where sports activities such as basketball, volleyball, and futsal were the primary games. However, this year pushed the Office of Student Life to get a little bit more creative and organized a virtual version of the schoolwide event.
One of the most anticipated events this semester, E-Titans Week, will definitely be one for the books. With carefully curated games, courtesy of ESports, and other fun activities planned by the Student Government, everyone will definitely have a good time, win or lose. Students who enter will serve as representatives of their batch, and will go head-to-head with the competing batch representatives.
Prepare to witness students as they battle it out in several online games for a chance to win the grand prize of a round trip ticket to Boracay, among other awesome prizes.
The E-Titans Week Finals kicked off with an opening ceremony led by school founder Sir Jack Tuason, co-founder Sir Danny Perez, and President Eduardo Rodriguez. Mr. Joey Tuason then officially introduced the much-awaited Enderun App.
The main ESports games that will be played include Defense of the Ancients, League of Legends, Call of Duty: Mobile, Valorant, Mobile Legends, and Counter Strike:GO.
Aside from these major games, other exciting activities such as a TitkTok Challenge, Family Feud, Pinoy Henyo, Stand-up Comedy, Jeopardy and a Talent Competition will also be taking place over the 4-day event.
The winners will be receiving an Enderun Bookstore voucher worth PHP600.00 and a Resto 101 voucher worth PHP500.00. Meanwhile, batch winners will be receiving a Batch Holiday as well Enchanted Kingdom tickets inclusive of transportation from the Enderun campus to Enchanted Kingdom.
The announcement of the ESports major games winners will take place on Friday, December 4th. To end the event, a culminating night will be held with the theme of, “Auction for the Beneficiaries”. The evening will be dedicated to raising funds for two of the Leadership Programs’ fundraisers, Project Wifi, an initiative started by Enderun students to help provide prepaid wifi systems or prepaid load to scholars and other students with limited internet access and Project Pasko, which aims to raise funds to provide Noche Buena packages to Enderun employees and families of Ecoville, Lumbia, CDO.
Once again, best of luck to all the participants, and we are excited to feel the school spirit. See you there, Titans!
