Titans’ Day: Enderun Colleges’ athletes sweep wins

Last February 12, Enderun Colleges’ student-athletes flocked towards sports venues to battle against other varsity teams. All Titans finished strong, bringing home wins after wins, making February 12 the day of the Titans.

Volleyball

One Titan fakes, the other Titan strikes!

Enderun Colleges’ Lady Volleyball Titans, coached by Ariel de la Cruz and captained by Pauline Po, won all three sets against the black uniformed varsity of St. Scholastica, 25-13, 25 -16, 25-13.

“Classical fault, mahina sa receive, so we made a lot of service aces,” said Jas Reyes.  On free balls, St. Scho made some beautiful spikes but they could not sustain their momentum against the Titan’s onslaught of strong volleys from Jas Reyes, Sophia de la Torre, Paulina Ong and Rox Aputen.

Meanwhile, at University of Asia and the Pacific, Enderun Colleges’ Lady Titans won the double header against St. Scholastica’s College. The Lady Titans’ frequent interceptions and fast breaks, led by Shaina Marcos, Fayth Pumaren, and Shen Callangan, left behind a devastated St. Scho at 56-1 by the end of the first half.

In the second half, Coach Haydee Ong rapidly subbed players, having no ‘bench warmer’ during the game. It gave the Lady Titan subs a big opportunity on court, helping everyone raise their season scoring average. Before the end of the game, St. Scho scored some points but still couldn’t find their range, ultimately folding against the Lady Titans at 89-12.

Futsal

At the Assumption College in Makati, the Lady Titans flattened Assumption’s Lady Futsal Team at a whopping 13-0 final score. Enderun’s Men Futsal Team also did great, leaving CEU scoreless at the Rizal Stadium, 6-0.
