Game Over…See You Next Semester!
After days of exciting online games and activities, our first-ever E-Titan’s week has sadly come to an end. The celebration for this year’s Titan’s Week was an entirely different approach from the usual, but it was still an experience worth remembering. We may not have had our competitive physical sports such as basketball and volleyball, but E-sports, one of the technological advancements in the gaming industry that allows people to competitively play sports online, has become a hit for this school year’s Titan’s week. From Warzone and Valorant to Fifa 21, students were given the opportunity to form groups and face each other head-on for the ultimate prizes the event organizers put together to entice participants. There were plenty of other activities as well for those who aren’t into gaming such as Jeopardy, Family Feud, Pinoy Henyo, Stand Up Comedy, a Talent Competition, and even a TikTok Challenge hosted by our very own Enderun Dance Crew. It’s almost as if we never left campus in the first place! The past weeks not only helped the College and Senior High students connect with each other virtually, but it also gave students a chance to take a break from academics.
Despite it being a considerable “break”, the hard work that each student put into their E-sport whether it be for preliminaries or the finals, did not go unnoticed. From practice games and dances to last-minute reviews, the effort that was put into making this semester’s Titan’s week a good one is definitely commendable. And although many fought hard, unfortunately only a handful of students could reign supreme. With this, congratulations are in order for those deserving of the winning prizes: Team Palaman for Mobile Legends, Daddyissues for Valorant, Expendables for Counter Strike: GO, Genoz-BBZ for Fifa 21, and Fruit Salad for Warzone. Winners will receive a round-trip ticket to Boracay, a bookstore voucher worth Php 600.00, or a Resto101 Voucher worth Php 500.00. The most participative batch will receive prizes as well for their eagerness to join in on the fun. They will be able to enjoy both a Batch Holiday and tickets to Enchanted Kingdom, with transportation from campus to the amusement park provided.
Of course, Titan’s week wouldn’t be complete without the culminating night to celebrate. This year, an auction was held for class incentives provided by subject teachers for both SHS and College students. It ranged from extra five points in any subject to even an exemption from a certain final exam. It surely caught the attention of students, and the best part is, it was all for a good cause! All bid amounts that won were donated to the E-Titan’s Week beneficiaries like Project Wifi and Project Pasko. It was a great way to end the fun-filled event- through kindness; a chance to give to those in need, because what better way to celebrate past festivities than to share the joy with others? With that said, we hope that everyone enjoyed it, and look forward to our next Titan’s Week!
