ENDERUN STUDENTS VOLUNTEER AT THE 16TH GRAND WINE EXPERIENCE
Over 1,500 guests converged at the Marriott Grand Ballroom at the recently concluded 16th Grand Wine Experience. The annual affair is widely regarded as the most lavish and anticipated wine event in the country which is attended by dignitaries, top executives, celebrities, wine connoisseurs and wine lovers. It was an evening that can best be summarized as “Eat, Drink and Be Merry” as 500 renowned wine and spirits were paired with an overflowing array of food from various cuisines.
Enderun Colleges was privileged to be part of this prestigious event by serving as Wine Ambassadors. Headed by Director of the Office of Career Services Ms. Grace Figovc and HA Faculty Member Mr. Paolo Reyes together with 16 students and 2 alumni, the knowledgeable team was tasked to present and explain the various wines and spirits from different regions to the guests. The volunteers had a great time meeting different people and learning more about the wine industry. This is not the first time Enderun has participated in the Grand Wine Experience. Time and again, it has proven to be a great training ground and exposure for the student volunteers.
This year’s theme was “The Noble Grape”- a term awarded to grape varieties that are considered producers of the finest and top quality wines. There are seven noble grape varieties: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Pinot Noir, Syrah, Chardonnay, Riesling and Sauvignon Blanc. The Grand Wine Experience was founded by the four Joseph brothers of Philippine Wine Merchants (the largest family-owned wine and spirits distributor in the Philippines which was founded in 1975).
Congratulations to our Enderun Team for exceptionally representing the school!
