Reinforced Titans play tough game against Ayala Lands

World Citi Colleges, Quezon City, August 6, 2017.  Enderun’s reinforced Titan Ladies volleyball varsity faced an older team Sunday at World City Colleges in Quezon City, the Ayala Land Inc (ALI) team comprised of professional Ayala staff in their mid- to late twenties.
Undaunted, the Lady Titans won the first match on deep spikes by Paulina Ong, Jas Reyes and guest player Abhie Nuval.  Maimai Bello was busy at back and center court with digs to set up the front spikers.  Jamie Tiu,
Queenie Ascutia and Sophie de la Torre kept up their blocks, often hammering through to score.  Ayala also made several unforced errors which contributed to their early loss.

The next three matches, however, were won by the Ayala ladies, who reduced their errors and thundered their spikes with deadly accuracy.  Nonetheless, the Titans blocked several spikes with their rapid shifting defense.  Abhie Nuval even served four aces!

Mabilog ang bola! Hard to predict any win, the ball is round! Despite an older, tougher opponent, the Titan Ladies were in good form and played well.
