SM 2nd National Swap Meet
From Immersion to commotion, from panic to unanticipated roles, from numbers to success!

The Event’s Management Class, as an immersion exercise, co-managed with EPSON the 2nd National Swap Meet at SM Megamall last April.
This 3-day event was a bazaar for toy collectors and enthusiasts. The class was divided into different areas; registration, exhibition, secretariat, and production. A main responsibility was screening people going to the even and trying to prevent others from coming in without registering, and to redirect lost persons.
Surprisingly the whole class had a giant supply of energy to last the 7am to 9pm shift. There was no sign of exhaustion, in fact, we marketed the event until the closing time. Imagine us roaring our greetings all day long — “Welcome to National Swap Meet!!!! Toys for collectors!!! We have free drinks inside!!!”
Big Panic! The auction was about to begin but the auctioneer was nowhere to be seen! There followed a hysteric commotion as the auction was about to start. So plan B. Our very own Brix Otero and Daniel Edge were asked to host the auction. They did a very good job, in fact, the organizers liked them. Both are already very good at public speaking.
Because we were so articulate and professional, EPSON, the sponsor and organizer tried to book the whole class for their upcoming product launch event this September! Due to time constraints we had to decline. But being offered the opportunity was an honor in itself and evidence or our successful immersion with EPSON.
Token of Appreciation. On the 3rd and final day of The 2nd National Swap Meet, Sir Dan gave us Funko Pop toys as a reward for doing a great job. It was a surprise; even the organizers were not aware of it. Sir Dan and his wife are really cool, generous, and down-to-earth human beings and we enjoyed working with them.
Numbers Speak Louder Than Words. According to the Organizer, this event surpassed their numbers last year! Job well done!
Thanks to our lovely professor Dr. Cynthia Reantaso Bernabe and Mr. Anton Magpantay of Artistespace, the organizer of the event, for making this event immersion possible. This was truly a great educational experience!
