More, More, More! This Year’s Titans Week has More to Offer
After the success of the first-ever E-Titans Week held last semester, the Office of Student Life, the Enderun Student Government, the Registered Student Organizations (RSO), the Social Orientation & Community Development (SOCD), and the SHS Execom took part in organizing the second virtual Titans Week. E-Titans Week 2: Games of Summer happened last 11-14 May 2021. This virtual esports competition was open not just for students but also for alumni, staff, and faculty.
The esports games that were included were Counter Strike: Global Offensive, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, and Valorant. There were also other activities prepared by the different departments and RSO’s of Enderun for those who wouldn’t consider themselves to be gamers. The Office of SOCD held three sessions of a game called “25 Seconds” where students formed teams of three and had to describe five words to their teammates using only 25 words or less. AXIS held their 3-Day Masterclass Webinar Series which featured three speakers namely Mr. Michael Ambion for Graphic Design, Ms. Sofia Relosa for Feng Shui in Interior Design, and Arch. Deo Alam for Architecture. Also, the Enderun League of Economic Development (ELED) held a 3 Day Movie Night with screenings of Okja, Smaller and Smaller Circles, and Shutter Island. The Student Government posted trivia games in their Instagram Stories for anyone to answer.
In support of the event, classes from 4 PM onwards were asynchronous or rescheduled so students could participate without worrying about classes. This served as a great breather for the past week’s midterm examination stress. Participants took the time to relax and spend time with their fellow students, professors, and staff members.
One has to appreciate all the efforts and support the event got. Most organizations prepared something, the faculty members gave way for the students to participate, and the students took this chance to have some fun and mingle with other batches. The games and the activities during Titans Week is something that everyone should always look forward to. Year after year, it just keeps getting better and better!
