Tourism Congress of the Philippines Selects Enderun Colleges as New Headquarters
The Tourism Congress of the Philippines has its new head office at Enderun Colleges, a four-year undergraduate college in McKinley Hill, Fort Bonifacio. Led by incumbent president Rosana Fores, the announcement was made during the inauguration of the new Board of Directors at the College’s Atrium.
“I’m excited about the partnership of the Tourism Congress of the Philippines and Enderun because this is the first time that an educational institution has become part of our organization. And, the fact that the home of the Tourism Congress is Enderun speaks for itself. The school becomes a leader in the industry and now, a part of the voice of the industry,” president Fores said.
With Enderun Colleges being the hub of the organization, their students can gain wider exposure and current information on the tourism industry through assistance and research for the Tourism Congress.
Department of Tourism (DoT) Secretary Ramon Jimenez, Jr. was the Guest of Honor for the inauguration. “The Tourism Congress by law, is the body that acts as the voice of the private sector in the tourism industry. They have a very direct say on the future of tourism in the country because they’re the ones who will implement some policies,” Secretary Jimenez said.
The Tourism Congress of the Philippines is the private sector consultative group assisting the government in developing, implementing and coordinating the country’s tourism policies.
Enderun Colleges is a management school that offers a full-range of bachelor’s degree and non-degree courses in international hospitality management, business administration, entrepreneurship and information systems. Enderun is affiliated with the Les Roches International School of Hotel Management in Switzerland, with Ducasse Education in France and Thunderbird School of Global Management in the USA.
