Enderun Titans Men’s Futsal Team, 2014 MNCAA Champions

The Enderun Men’s and Women’s Futsal team bags the championship in the MNCAA and WCSA, respectively.

The men’s team stole the lead from Centro Escolar University with a score of 3-1 held Sunday, 2 February 2014 at the University of Asia and the Pacific. Kang Hoon Heo was awarded League MVP with 3 goals. The women’s team answered back a week later with a win of their own, bagging the WCSA futsal championship against Miriam College with a score of 5-3 yesterday (9 February), at the Assumption College in Makati.

Enderun Women’s Basketball Titans, also brought home a win of their own, placing 3rd overall after beating  St. Scholastica with a score of 69-46. Meanwhile, the men’s team continues to bring their A-game as they battle against CEU for the championship in a ‘Best of 3’ match being held in the Rizal Memorial Basketball Stadium. Unfortunately, Enderun lost game 1 against the seemingly stronger team with  a score of 72-59 last Sunday, but Coach Topex Robinson remains optimistic they can improve their performance for the next game. “Since it was our first finals appearance we were a bit out of control which forced us to commit a lot of turnovers that CEU converted into scoring opportunities. We need to do a good job on the defensive end to contain their top scorers coming into the next game.”

Game 2 of the championship match is set on Sunday, 16 February 2014 at the Rizal Memorial Basketball Stadium.
