When you hear the song lyrics “🎵Whenever I see boys and girls… 🎵” , a famous song from Filipino singer Jose Mari Chan on the 1st day of September, you will know that Christmas is just around the corner. Three months might seem like a long period of time to prepare for the holiday season, but before you know it, the most awaited time has arrived.
Every organization has a vision and mission that serves as a guide to achieve their collective goals. Without it, it is vulnerable to failures due to the lack of a clear path to success. As a result, success is nearly impossible.
College graduation is the end and beginning of a whole new journey for the fresh graduates. It is the time to celebrate accomplishments and reflect on what was learned at school, and most importantly plan on the next step of careers and life adventures.
School is about far more than just academics. We have a life outside of the classroom, as much as we want to succeed academically. We each have our passions, and our school never fails to support us in reaching our goals. Our school offers a variety of learning opportunities, including webinars, the best internships, and, of course, student organizations.
Have you heard of this rule? Did it ever cross your mind why it is called 21/90 and not 21/21? The rule claims that it takes at least 21 days for a person to repeat a hobby until it becomes a habit, and a habit that is repeated for 90 days will become part of your lifestyle. Imagine if that habit is something that would lead you to a better version of yourself, wouldn’t that be great? And it’s even more fantastic if it’s self-care.
It’s been a while since quarantine was implemented, and who would’ve thought that it would last for more than a year? In light of the effects of COVID-19 such as stress and anxiety, a health webinar that focused on mental health was held online for the Enderun community last month by Dr. Johann Legaspi. In the webinar, it was discussed that the effects of COVID-19 impacted the 3 pillars of health: autonomy, competence and connectedness. Dr. Legaspi mentioned during the webinar that in China, the number of people filing for a divorce rose as soon as the quarantine was lifted, and at the same time, the number of people wanting to get married increased for up to 300%. There are pros and cons of the pandemic. People either felt closer to each other or grew apart.
The previous months have been challenging for all of us because of the pandemic. As such, we have stayed inside our houses for a long time since most social gatherings are canceled, travels are limited and outdoor activities are controlled. Hence, home is the safest place for all of us.
