Have you heard of this rule? Did it ever cross your mind why it is called 21/90 and not 21/21? The rule claims that it takes at least 21 days for a person to repeat a hobby until it becomes a habit, and a habit that is repeated for 90 days will become part of your lifestyle. Imagine if that habit is something that would lead you to a better version of yourself, wouldn’t that be great? And it’s even more fantastic if it’s self-care.
There have been countless threats that posed challenges to our society and our economy, either be it small in scale or large scale. However, even with these obstacles, we humans have proved to be resilient. The SARS-COV-2 also known as coronavirus or simply as COVID-19 took the world by storm. The virus quickly spread worldwide and caused socio-economic implications that affected numerous industries in the world.

Good things come in threes and the IHM Special Projects Team definitely showcased that with the third and final installment of their event series, The Great Food Challenge, held last April 24. After an exciting day with eggs and another thrilling day featuring Spam, the event organizers did not disappoint with this team challenge called the 2 Course Meal Contest.

The current situation and set-up of the Business and Hospitality industries have set a bleak hope in the hearts of its students. The widely implemented measures to control the pandemic have generated an unprecedented shift in these industries, causing students to put their plans on hold.
They say that there is always a rainbow after the rain. They say that despite all the hardships and obstacles that are poured down on you, the sun will always find a way to shine again. 2021 marks the end of an unprecedented year—the end of a year filled with turmoil and tribulations. After all that had happened, many thought there was nowhere else to go but up. 2021 was supposed to be the beginning of that journey towards the sky.
“[You] need to take advantage of your experiences.” These are the words of Rey Moraga, who’s had decades of experience in the hospitality industry. Rey Moraga, an Enderun Almuna, was the guest speaker of the webinar “Key to Success in the Hospitality Industry” last February 26, 2021.
After the first installment of The Great Food Challenge, the IHM Special Projects Team was back last April 15 with the second iteration of their event series which was The Slice ‘em Spam Contest.
