RSO Guide: Enderun Food and Wine Society (EFWS)

The people who established EFWS have a common passion for great food, and good wine. An excerpt from the organization’s Mission states: “EFWS aims to provide an avenue where students can hone their knowledge about food, beverage, and service skills, and to provide hands on activities to further improve knowledge on the different sectors of the hospitality industry.” This is seen prevalently in the various events EFWS has hosted and will be hosting.

There are many events that have showcased EFWS as an organization, and one that is ongoing is called The Building Block. It promotes mainly the recycling of used wine bottles, and uses the proceeds to help build public schools. There have been numerous events that EFWS along with two other school organizations have hosted. An example is Chocoholics Anonymous, a two-day Chocolate celebration, which consists of a chocolate fair, a chocolate appreciation workshop, as well as chocolate and wine pairing.

When she writes, She always notices that it starts with exploration. Most of the time, if not always she finds herself surprised as to where the journey takes her. Part of that journey always involves finding the right words - the perfect words to put a thought into writing. That for her, is the true reward of being a writer. That sense of accomplishment of finding a single word upon millions - and putting it at the exact place at the right time and be able to create the infamous effect of a successful literary piece, also known as: catharsis.
