FamilyMart–Enderun joins PBA D-League
Further heightening the action in the Philippine Basketball Association Developmental League (PBA D-League), Japanese convenience store brand FamilyMart and top-notch hospitality management and business administration school Enderun Colleges, team up to form the FamilyMart-Enderun basketball team and announced their official entry to the tournament for its 2019 Aspirants Cup.
Team Coach Pipo Noundou introduced the lineup of 14 promising and talented players with Team Captain Mark Joseph Nuñez leading the pack at the press launch held on January 31, 2019 at Enderun Colleges in Taguig.
“We are delighted to launch the FamilyMart-Enderun team and bring more excitement in the PBA D-League. Our goal is to establish ourselves as a dominant force within the league and show great games and performances from our players,” Coach Pipo Noundou said.
As new entry to the PBA’s minor league, the franchise aims to provide access and opportunities for its players to hone their skills further and increase the competition in the league.
“We are proud and honored to join the PBA D-League. We feel happy and excited to be able to play in a national league and a competitive tournament so we will certainly do our best to succeed,” Team Captain Mark Nuñez said.
“Being part of the PBA D-League is a very significant opportunity for our student athletes to demonstrate collaboration, teamwork, and leadership at a national and professional level – an advance experience of growth and maturity in a very dynamic league. On behalf of the entire Enderun community, we are rooting for the FamilyMart-Enderun Basketball team and are excited to watch the games in solidarity!” Enderun Colleges President Edgardo Rodriguez added.
FamilyMart—a subsidiary of Phoenix Petroleum Philippines, Inc.—and Enderun Colleges are both part of the UDENNA Group of Companies. The FamilyMart-Enderun team will be the second basketball team of the company after Phoenix PULSE Fuel Masters who are currently playing at the PBA.
“As part of one company, Enderun Colleges and FamilyMart shares the same values and vision. Both brands are known for its quality products and services and with the official entry of our new basketball franchise, we also aim to bring quality performances to the league’s audiences and introduce our brand to a new network of potential clients,” Phoenix Petroleum Philippines, Inc.
