Student Life Made Easy
Have you ever had problems keeping up with all the school events? Well, you’re not alone. With how active Enderun’s student life can get, you’ll really have to go out of your way just to know of every event happening on and off campus. Sure. There are Facebook posts; but even then, chances are, there will always be that one event you’ll miss out on, either cause you didn’t know about it, or knew too late.
Knowing how much of a hassle it is to actively search for events, and to fit that into busy schedules, a lot of students just give up and go on with our lives; but even then, you won’t be able to help that feeling of regret. “If only I knew earlier, I could’ve gone”, you tell yourself.
Wouldn’t it be nice if you could have all the information you need about Enderun’s student life right in front of you? Thanks to the new Enderun app, keeping yourself updated has never been easier! From student life to career services, athletics, food, alumni, registrar and Enderun Extension, every update and event is literally one click away.
The Enderun app is not limited to keeping you updated, but also connected. Enderun’s app also allows for more personal interactions with the rest of the Enderun community through “Us”, a platform where Enderun Students can post on three threads: EverydayEnderun, EnderunExperience and TitanTravels. Since the app is new, you won’t see many posts on “Us” as of the moment; but don’t be surprised to see much more activity soon!
Tired of not knowing who to contact in a certain department? No problem! The Enderun app comes with a feature called “Guides”, giving you direct access to the school directory. Just go to the feature, specify what department you want to contact, and you’ll have a list of people you can contact. It’s that easy!
With the Enderun app being the first of its kind, it generated positive reactions within key members of the Enderun community. Former SG president Joey Tuason expressed enthusiasm for the app, considering it an effective way to utilize social media while maintaining exclusivity. His full comment can be seen below:
“The foundation of the app is student connectivity. When Enderun moved to Mckinley Hill and grew in population, this was 2008, the iPhone was just released, Twitter and Facebook were just really starting to pick up. Back then, you could put up a poster and people would see it. Today, we are all glued to our phones. We connect differently now, and schools have not adjusted to that. Though schools try to use social media to their advantage, the problem is that these are “everybody networks” (your friends, family, etc. are on it) therefore information can easily be flushed out with the next refresh. We make it incredibly convenient for students to stay connected with everything Enderun, from upcoming events to cancellation of classes. We also use it as a tool to gain feedback, simplify processes and provide better service to our students.
This is just the beginning, we are using the app as the new medium to re-design the student experience. Whether it be finding internships, making classrooms more engaging, or solving the dreaded enrollment system, it is exciting to see where the Enderun app will go next. ”
As convenient as the app is, installing it and creating your account also takes no effort. The app is available in both the App Store and Google Play. Once you get Enderun app, just register your Enderun email once you have the app, and there you have it. Welcome to the community!
