They say that there is always a rainbow after the rain. They say that despite all the hardships and obstacles that are poured down on you, the sun will always find a way to shine again. 2021 marks the end of an unprecedented year—the end of a year filled with turmoil and tribulations. After all that had happened, many thought there was nowhere else to go but up. 2021 was supposed to be the beginning of that journey towards the sky.

“[You] need to take advantage of your experiences.” These are the words of Rey Moraga, who’s had decades of experience in the hospitality industry. Rey Moraga, an Enderun Almuna, was the guest speaker of the webinar “Key to Success in the Hospitality Industry” last February 26, 2021.
As we tackle this Women Empowerment Series, this week’s episode talks about the impossible story of one of our empowering guests, who is also one of Enderun SHS’s best professors, Ms. Ainah Dimasacat. She shared her incredible journey in becoming the teacher she is today along with a handful of life lessons and advice. Even if she faced many hardships and difficult situations, that did not stop her from achieving her goals and who she strived to be.
It is always best to get to know companies that we want to work with sooner rather than later. The skill seminar with Accenture: “A Roadmap on how to Jumpstart Your Dream Career Through Internships” was held last February 10, 2021 and was a collaboration with the Enderun Office of Career Services. It aims to enlighten students about their future internship experience, and answer questions they might have about internships.
Last April 8, the IHM Special Projects Team held the first part of a new event series called The Great Food Challenge, where students can compete against one another in a set of challenges centered around a specific theme. This first installment called the Egg-tastic Challenge had two main events: The Egg White Whipping Challenge and The Egg Dish Plating Challenge.
In this week’s episode, we talk about leadership and empowerment together with our guests, the Presidents of Senior High School’s student organizations and Executive Committee: Alyssa Diaz, Ivy Escario, and Beatrice Yap!
