Ouverture 2012
The evening of July 6, 2012 was made to be a highlight event for the Enderun student. Created and planned by Cultura, an organization celebrates and commemorates different cultures and activities, Ouverture is the school’s traditional “first-party-event”. The French word for ‘opening’, Ouverture is a party designed to welcome both the students and faculty of Enderun for a chance to start the new school year in a fun and fashionable manner, not to mention, opening its doors to all the freshmen. As Cultura put it, the event “is a great chance to meet the new faces of our school and a great time to get the most out of college!”
Held in the school’s MPCC (multi-purpose covered court), the event kicked off with a few brief words given by Cultura’s president Ian Bautista and GE 100 lead faculty, Ms. Marissa Felix. It was performance after performance with funny and exciting games, and a dance-off intertwined in the program as well. The night was filled with the sound of music, chatter and laughter, thanks to the other school organizations that played roles in accentuating the event bringing more life to the party. Beat and Soundcast heightened the area by providing the right ambiance with their music and vocal talent, while Culinaire provided the guests with sumptuous food.
It makes one wonder, “what will next year’s Ouverture be like?”
